Skincare that respects
Biotaderm is a small-batch skincare range, handmade in Welcombe on the north Devon Atlantic coast. It launches this June, and you can be there from the start.
We formulate for five skin types offer three moisturisers for each type. Every ingredient on the label in plain English, with the full formulation published online. We offer no miracle promises. Just careful chemistry to support not control your skin.

What goes in, and why
Biotaderm rests on three things, and they form part of every formulation.
Nature. Cold-pressed organic plant oils as the backbone, carefully blended with supporting natural and naturally derived ingredients.
Science. Ingredients selected because the published evidence supports them, including prebiotics and postbiotics to help feed and steady the community of microbes living on your skin. The research on the skin microbiome is still being mapped, and we'd rather say that honestly than overstate it.
Ethics. Vegan-friendly, never tested on animals (other than the willing humans in this house), packed by hand, and working towards B Corp certification the slow and effective way.
Bladderwrack runs through the range, the same Atlantic seaweed you've stepped over on every rocky beach in Devon. Ours is processed in France by specialist extractors who work with the same species we see at low tide. The research on it is genuinely exciting, which is the main reason it's in here.

A note from Richard: every sale, up to 15th July, gives half to Devon Air Ambulance
From launch up to and including the 15th of July, half of every sale goes to Devon Air Ambulance.
Here's the part I'm slightly nervous about though! The 4th of July is the day I take on the Devon Air Ambulance Heli Hike. Twenty-six miles along the South West Coast Path, with enough climbing in it to add up to Ben Nevis by the time I'm done. Devon Air Ambulance covers this stretch of coast, the home of Biotaderm, and they do it without government funding. Backing them felt like the right way to begin.
So if you buy something in those first few weeks, you've quietly done two good things at once. Looked after your skin, and helped keep a helicopter in the air over Devon.
