Everything we make is built around five skin types. Find yours, then choose how light or rich you'd like it.
Three textures for every skin type
Face cream, body lotion, hand cream and foot balm differ mostly in thickness. We make three textures and leave you to use them wherever they suit. Fewer products means fewer new ingredients for your skin to meet.
Only the amount of cold-pressed organic and plant oil changes between them. More oil, more richness.

Made for your microbiome
Your skin carries its own microbiome, a community of microbes living on its surface. Published research suggests this community does better when skincare leaves it undisturbed. So we make every product slightly acidic (pH 5 to 5.5), close to the pH of healthy skin, and leave out synthetic fragrance and ingredients that strip. We also add a plant prebiotic that, in laboratory studies, feeds the skin's beneficial bacteria.
Why we started
Biotaderm began with a chemist's question and a son whose skin reacted to almost everything. Six years of reading the published research later, the range is fifteen moisturisers, made by hand in Welcombe.
